Individual errors helped Wantage Town beat Brackley Town Saints 3-2 to move within five points of the top-two in the Hellenic Premier League.
A trip in the box and sloppy possession in front of goal meant Brackley handed the Freds a 3-0 lead in south Oxfordshire.
Wantage took the lead on 17 minutes when Ryan Markham tucked home a penalty after Jack Dunmall was felled in the box.
The home side doubled their lead two minutes before the interval when Steve Robertson, who scores for fun, side-footed into the net for his 37th goal of the season.
The game looked to be over seven minutes after the restart when James Glover found the back of the net for a commanding 3-0 Wantage lead.
But Brackley were not giving up that easy and, just before the hour, pulled one back through Ryan Knight.
With six minutes left on the clock, Saints pulled another goal back, a Lewis Baldwin free kick somehow squirming through Curtis Meare’s hands and into the net.
Elsewhere, Oxford City Nomads came out 2-0 victors at Abingdon United in the all-Oxfordshire contest.
Will McEachran gave the City development side the lead on 57 minutes before substitute Craig Fasanmade added a second in the 94th minute.
Nomads made it back-to-back wins for the first time this calendar year with a 5-0 home thumping of Royal Wootton Bassett on Tuesday.
Josh Pin netted a fantastic four, his first coming on 36 minutes.
But City had to wait until the final eight minutes to secure the points.
Pin grabbed another three and Connor Mattimore also got in on the action.
